Our firm, Bashian & Papantoniou, P.C., is pleased to announce a significant legal victory on behalf of our client, Gabby Leon Martinez. In a lawsuit filed in the Supreme Court of the State of New York, County of Nassau, we secured a $70,000 judgment against Los Amigos Deli Bodega Hispana Corp. and its owner, David Taveras, for unpaid wages and damages. Our client, Gabby Leon Martinez, sought justice after enduring unpaid wages and labor violations while working at Los Amigos Deli Bodega Hispana Corp. Despite providing dedicated service, Gabby was denied rightful compensation, prompting legal action against the business and its owner, David Taveras.

Our law firm obtained a Confession of Judgment from the defendants, confirming their liability. The court has now issued a final judgment awarding Gabby $70,000, plus statutory interest at 9% from April 1, 2024, until the full amount is paid. This judgment ensures that our client will recover the wages owed, plus accrued interest, holding the employer accountable for their violations. Wage theft and labor exploitation are serious offenses, and this case underscores our firm's commitment to protecting workers' rights and ensuring they receive the compensation they deserve.

At Bashian & Papantoniou, P.C., we are dedicated to fighting for employees who have been wronged by unfair labor practices. If you or someone you know is facing unpaid wages, wage theft, or employment contract violations, our firm is here to help.
