Former Food Delivery Driver Sues Wonder Foods for Wage Violations and Unpaid Overtime

Food Delivery

Bashian & Papantoniou, P.C. filed a lawsuit on behalf of Adan Vasquez, a former food delivery driver, against S.K.H. Trading Company, Inc., d/b/a Wonder Foods, and its owner, Faraj Khalifeh. The complaint lays out allegations that Mr. Vasquez worked long hours—often between 55 and 65 hours per week—for over a decade without receiving overtime pay. Despite regularly working more than 40 hours a week, Mr. Vasquez alleges he was paid a flat rate of $15 per hour, with no raises, and never received the required overtime premium. The lawsuit also claims that Wonder Foods violated New York law by failing to provide proper wage statements or wage notices at any point during his employment. This case highlights serious concerns about wage violations, and the complaint seeks unpaid overtime, spread-of-hours pay, and liquidated damages for Mr. Vasquez and others in similar roles.
