Lawsuit Filed for Unpaid Overtime and Labor Law Violations at Red Volpe Pizzeria

Bashian & Papantoniou, P.C. filed a lawsuit on behalf of Obed Vasquez, also known as Jose Reyes Vasquez, against A S Bethpage Pizzeria Corp., d/b/a Red Volpe Pizzeria, and its owner, Salvatore Pesce Jr. According to the complaint, Mr. Vasquez worked as a cook from February 2022 to April 2023, clocking around 65 hours per week. 

The lawsuit alleges that he was paid a flat weekly wage of $700, regardless of the overtime hours he worked. Additionally, the complaint highlights the lack of required wage statements and wage notices, which are mandatory under New York labor laws. The complaint seeks unpaid overtime wages, spread-of-hours pay, and damages for Mr. Vasquez and other similarly situated employees.
