Lawsuit Filed Against Hugo R. Landscaping for Wage Violations and Unpaid Overtime

Landscaping

Bashian & Papantoniou, P.C. filed a lawsuit on behalf of Ronald Lemus against Hugo R. Landscaping Inc. and its owner, Hugo Reyes. The complaint alleges serious wage violations during Mr. Lemus's employment from 2020 to 2023. According to the complaint, Mr. Lemus worked seven days a week, putting in about 95 hours per week as a landscaping and construction worker. Despite his grueling schedule, the complaint claims he was paid a flat daily rate of $160 and did not receive overtime pay as required by federal and New Jersey labor laws. The lawsuit also alleges that payments were made in cash with no proper wage statements. The case seeks unpaid overtime wages, minimum wage violations, and other damages for Mr. Lemus and similarly situated employees.
